Thankfully the notion that anxiety or OCD can be dramatically impacted by lifestyle or nutrition is not a controversial topic these days. They can both be tremendous tools in a successful treatment and are always included in my plans.

Nutrition
Nutrients and nutrition are the foundation of any successful treatment strategy. Think of it as the fuel for your body, we wouldn’t expect our car to run well on the wrong fuel and we can’t expect the same of our bodies. The building blocks for our neurotransmitters and the fuel for all of our body systems come from what we consume. Having the right nutrients and building blocks for health will allow your body to function at its optimum and be the most resilient to disease. Knowing what nutrients are important for you and if any should be supplemented beyond what you can get in your diet is where opportunities like genetic testing (MTHFR for example) and nutrient testing can shine.
